Our role is to promote life long learning for Pacific people in the Adult and Community Education (ACE) sector. Through our Community Advisors, we network and work with other ACE providers to ensure initiatives are in place to meet the needs of our Adult Pacific learners.

Also our role is to facilitate the provision of initiatives and programmes to retain Pacific culture and promote the use of Pacific languages, publishing Pacific resources and operating the Learning Resource Centre which houses numerous Pacific books and resources for all members of the public to purchase and view.

The Pacific Islands Trade & Investment Commission, PITIC (NZ) was set up in 1988 as a trade commission to:

assist the Pacific Forum Island countries with marketing their products in NZ;
encourage investment in the Pacific; and:
promote Pacific Island tourism.

PITIC (NZ), formerly the South Pacific Trade Commission, is one of four offices of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat located in Australia, Japan and China.
